Hi I’m Shivani and welcome to my blog!

I am 39 years old and have suffered from neck and shoulder pain for 12 years and in December 2018, I was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis or osteoarthritis in my neck. Most people will suffer from this condition (wear and tear of the verterbrae) at some point in their lives but this is usually not until they are in their 50s and 60s.

I have tried all kinds of treatment over the years…chiropractic treatment, massage, acupuncture (Chinese and Japanese), osteopathy, physiotherapy, steroid injections…

Now finally, I’ve taken the step to finding my way back to good health through a more holistic approach by spending 6 weeks at the Bone and Body Clinic. The treatment combines osteopathy, Ayurvedic medicine and a rehabilitation programme based on martial arts.

I am of Indian origin, but was born and brought up in the UK. My time in Goa also represents the first time I have “lived” in India (rather than being on holiday) and the first time I have been here on my own…let the adventure begin!
